O autoru
George MacDonald (1824–1905) was a Scottish poet, author, and minister. Considered a pioneer of fantasy writing, MacDonald published dozens of books over the course of his career. His works include fantasy, realistic fiction, poetry, and Christian apologetics. MacDonald is credited with having influenced such notable writers as C. S. Lewis, W. H. Auden, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Mark Twain.
