"The Magic Walking Stick" is a fantastical children's story about a pair of magical walking sticks; one that will cease to function if it is used for any practical purpose, and another that will cease to function if it isn't. Unfortunately, our protagonist doesn't know which one he possesses. It's a charming and entertaining tale perfect for bedtime reading. John Buchan (1875 - 1940) was a Scottish historian, novelist, and politician. He wrote many thrillers, historical novels, histories and biographies whilst simultaneously being a prominent figure in public life. He also served as Governor-General of Canada from 1935 until his death. Contents include: "The Coming of the Staff", "The Adventure of Alemoor", "The Adventure of the Solomon Islands", "The Adventure of Glenmore", "The Adventure of Catsbane", "'Beauty' and 'Bands'", "The Adventure of the Christmas Party-I", " The Adventure of the Christmas Party-II", "The Adventure of Uncle Bob-I", "The Adventure of Uncle Bob-II", et cetera. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly rare and expensive.
