MICHAEL GROSSMAN studied economics and science at the University of Michigan and obtained a law degree while a night student at Manhattan's New York Law School. While pursuing his studies he worked for the Legal Aid Society and New York Attorney General’s Office. He is now in private practice and is legal counsel for Congregation B’nai Torah in Greenwood Lake, New York and The Jewish Community Center in Hewitt, New Jersey. At age 48 he became president of Congregation B’nai Torah, quickly mastered Jewish History, taught Adult Education courses, and wrote 46 articles on religious, historical and other subjects for the congregation’s newsletter, ‘From the Lakeside.’ He currently lives in Warwick, New York with his wife, Phyllis, and two children, Alyson and Zachary.
