Suddenly in the midst of the 17th century, Myles is bewildered by an unfamiliar world. Befriended by a kind farming couple, he begins to piece together his new reality, learning tales about the waterfall's power and the enigmatic "Elder Folks" who allegedly guard its secrets. Along the way, he encounters another time traveler, Adam, who becomes a crucial ally in his quest to understand this phenomenon and find a way back to his own time.
But Myles's journey is far from straightforward. He finds himself caught in a web of forbidden love, held prisoner by a pirate, and thrust into the heart of the Cromwellian invasion. As he navigates this treacherous past, he realizes that his presence could alter the course of history, and he must make a devastating choice that will test his courage and loyalty.
