Disappointing. The relationship was too one-sided, with the hero constantly hurting the heroine and her just taking it. The hero's most vulnerable moment happens "offscreen" and is unsatisfying after he's been such a jerk.

not a fan of explicit sex scenes, but read it anyway because it is very well written and the characters are well developed. Great original plot makes me definitely want to read more stories set in this world.

Fiesty, intelligent, 'lead with her heart's and gut' heroine! I love Thea Harrison 's Elder Race series! Even when they've connected series-wise, they are still unique in itself.
