Timothy J. Wengert is emeritus professor of church history at the United Lutheran Seminary. He has written extensively on Luther, Melanchthon, and the Reformation, including The Augsburg Confession: Renewing Lutheran Faith and Practice (Fortress, 2020). He was coeditor, with Robert Kolb, of the English edition of the Book of Concord (Fortress, 2000) and translated Luther's Small Catechism, used throughout the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He lives in Long Valley, New Jersey.
Dirk G. Lange is Fredrik A. Schiotz Chair of Missions and Professor of Worship at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota. He has been elected deputy general secretary for ecumenical relations of the Lutheran World Federation for a five-year term starting February 1, 2020. He is editor of and contributor to Ordo: Bath, Word, Prayer, Table (OSI, 2006).
Dr. Melinda Quivik is a minister, writer, and lecturer from Houghton, MI. She earned her Bachelor's from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, her Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (LTSP), and her PhD from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California with a focus on worship and preaching. From 2005-2010, she served as Professor of Worship and Preaching at LTSP. Before her graduate work, she served as a pastor in churches in Montana and Minnesota. Her writings include multiple publications through Augsburg Fortress Publishers, essays for the ELCA Worship Office, New Westminster Dictionary of Christian Theology, as well as multiple publications.
