Twice Dead is a 1948 caper surrounding two elderly bachelors, Sydney Wadsworth, founder of an exclusive New York golf club in 1921, and Toby Worthington, his inseparable friend. The police cannot find the body, and class warfare ensues between the club and the community. As amateur detectives, Sydney and Toby dodge the law, face charges of murder, theft, and indecent exposure as they journey to a bizarre rod and gun club in search of a solution.
