About this ebook

When life coaching goes terribly wrong.

When Peter Darkwood contacted me about coaching his wife, I was seconds away from declining. It never ends well when someone reaches out on someone else’s behalf. But Peter was a psychiatrist—a man who helps people for a living—so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

My first mistake.

His wife, a celebrated artist, had fallen into a fog of self-doubt. She’d stopped painting. Stopped socializing. Her bed had become her only companion.

Peter insisted she wasn’t clinically depressed—just stuck. She needed a nudge. I took him at his word.

My second mistake.

What started as simple coaching twisted into something sinister. I slipped inside her fractured mind and found something I was never meant to see.

Now nothing about them feels safe.

Not even me.

Are you ready to get coached?

Everything was going well until the big change from Mitzi to Carol. I was left completely confused and sad. I wasted my time reading this book 😞

Ty needs to stop switching from present to past tense constantly, even in a single sentence, but the book was very good regardless. I had the ending figured out but it's the ending I wanted!

At the start of this book I thought it would be a cheap confusing story . It all revealed itself in the last chapter and it left me totally amazed and pleasantly surprised.

About the author

Ty Hutchinson writes dark, high-concept popcorn thrillers that punch hard and don't let up.

A full-time nomad since 2013, he blends real-world detail with twisted imagination to deliver binge-worthy stories—where the rules are bent, the stakes are high, and the exits are never marked.

Living everywhere and nowhere, he's drawn to strange things and peculiar people—almost always leading to one question: what if?
