Die Beiträge befassen sich sowohl mit der historischen Situation in Sachsen als auch mit dem heutigen Umgang mit der Geschichte. Dabei werden verschiedene Aspekte, z. B. Antisemitismus, Gemeinwesenarbeit im ländlichen Raum, u. a. angesprochen.
Schon im historischen Thema wurde der Blick nicht nur auf das Faktische gerichtet, sondern es wurden auch einige der (möglichen) Wege befreiender Praxis beleuchtet.
