Die Kalkulation für den Druck und den Endpreis für das Gesamt-Buchset war auf ca. 3.000 Seiten und 5 Bände festgelegt, deshalb musste ich bei einem Manuskriptumfang von knapp 3.500 Seiten diverse Kürzungen speziell im Dokumenten- und Fotoanteil machen. Der inhaltliche Teil im Set blieb davon unberührt. Die Kürzungen des Fotomaterials werden nun für 5 schwere Artillerie-Abteilungen (I./84, II./84, 511, 625 und 740) in zwei Foto-Ergänzungsbänden veröffentlicht. Die Foto-Ergänzungsbände enthalten den Organisations- und Einsatzweg der Abteilungen ergänzt durch Fotos und Dokumente.
