Gastón the "Ladle", a bard by profession, arrives at the main square of the palace when Novak is offering a reward for saving his daughter. Remorak, a merchant who wants the monarch's deposition tricks the unsuspecting minstrel into accepting the mission of rescuing the princess from the dragon's lair, and a mission that begins as an impossible journey, an unattainable task, ends up being a life lesson for such dissimilar characters.

Marcel Pujol wrote twelve works between 2005 and 2007 on a wide variety of topics and in different genres: thrillers, epic fantasy, short story collections, and also essays on such serious topics as hysteria in parenthood or the Uruguayan prison system. In 2023 he takes up the creative pen again and has already written nine new titles... And he's going for more!
This author cannot be identified with any genre, but he does have a very marked style that runs through his work:
- The plots are captivating
- The dialogues between the characters have an agility and adrenaline typical of action films
- The main characters progress through the work, and the being that emerges from the novel may have few points of contact with who he was at the beginning
- There are no perfect characters. Even the main ones go from antiheroes to characters with remarkable qualities, perhaps, but imperfect. A bit like each one of us, isn't it?
