About this ebook

I was supposed to be his son’s teacher. Now I’m his nanny… and fighting my attraction to a man I can never have.

It all started with a water balloon fight and a classroom prank gone wrong.

I ended up in the ER—with my clothes literally glued to my body.

Enter Dr. Johnny Dawes.

Attending physician. Single dad. The most devastatingly handsome man I’ve ever met.

One heated moment in the ER, and I thought that was it.

Until I find out his son is in my class.

And when his nanny quits unexpectedly, Johnny makes me an offer:

Move in. Take care of his son after school. Double my salary.

It’s everything I should say no to.

Because Johnny Dawes is a walking temptation. A grief-hardened doctor with a swarm of women chasing after him. And I’m just the hired help.

But every day under his roof makes it harder to resist.

Every stolen glance. Every lingering touch.

Every time he calls me Olivia in that deep, melting voice.

I tell myself this is just a job.

But the way he looks at me? The way he kisses me when no one is watching?

I think he wants me, too.

And I never expected what happened next.

🔥 A swoon-worthy, irresistible single dad romance with sizzling chemistry, slow-burn tension, and a love that changes everything. Read now! 🔥

This is a fast paced insta-love romance. Olivia has watched her sisters fall in love and doesn't think it will ever happen to her, but Bradley steals her heart without her realising, then his father offers her a job as nanny and her life changes. Jonny is a jerk but he does redeem himself a little at the end. This book is funny and sad a little romantic, and it was great to catch up with the Steel sisters.

The first-grade teacher has been crushing on Bradley's father all year. On the last day of school serendipity of occurrences strikes Olivia. She's wet from balloon fights and construction workers dumped powdered glue all over her while she is called to the principal's office and let go. She makes it to the ER and Doctor Dawes who has Bradley in his office because his nanny has quit. He asks Olivia if she's free this summer, but Olivia turns him down. But Bradley talks his father into letting him make a card inviting his teacher to be his nanny and go by her crummy apartment with flowers so he can ask Olivia to accept the job. This is a fast story as Doctor Johnny already knows what he really needs to advance on his job-a wife. But Olivia doesn't want money, she wants love! Makes a good story!

Cocky M.D. is the sixth book in the Steel family series and is about Olivia, a 1st grade teacher who becomes unemployed due to cutbacks in personnel. Through a freak accident on the last day of school, she ends up in the ER being treated by one of her students' father. They met previously at parent teacher conferences where Olivia teaches Bradley. With chemistry off the charts, Olivia and Johnny (Dr. Dawes) don't act upon their attraction until the day she is treated in the ER. One kiss becomes a life-altering event for both Johnny and Olivia. This is a fast paced book, taking place within a few days. The characters are relatable, except for the whole billionaire thing. LOL I loved Olivia but struggled in the beginning to find Johnny redeemable. However, because Olivia is such a sweetheart, Johnny's heart thawed and I learned to like him, too. No surprises, no suspense. Just a feel good, steamy romance.
