VIGNETTE, Book Two is a collection of short stories about the life experiences of its author, William (Bill) Baker. It contains about twenty short stories. The stories are historically accurate and told in a sensitive, humorous way. Parts, are very touching. Every reader will find themselves in one or more of the real life stories which range from:

- Teen-age hitch-hiking, to serving a Four Star Knighted Officer of the Royal British Air Force

Over de auteur
Bill's given name is William J. Baker, Jr. He was born in Oakland, CA. After the divorce of his parents he was placed in a boarding home at age 6 along with his older sister and younger brother. At thirteen he and his siblings were joined with their mother, step-father and step-brother in East Oakland. In 1944 Bill joined the US Navy. After discharge he joined the US Air Force, attended OCS and retired as a Lt. Col with 26 years service. Following retirement he went to work with GE/Honeywell as National Account Manager for the Bechtel and then the Weyerhaeuser Corporations before taking over Computer Sales to the State of California. In 1975 he went to Iran with Honeywell as advisor to Information Systems, Iran. Upon return to the USA he forme Adroit's Inc., an IT corporation. In 1991 he suffered health problems and went into retirement. He traveled in his RV in Montana and Wyoming before settling down in Sutter Creek, CA where he lives today, with his wife, Judy. Bill is now 85 years of young.
