About the author
Volker Gerhardt, geb. 1944, Dr. phil, Dr. theol. h. c., lehrt nach Professuren in Münster, Köln und Halle seit 1992 Philosophie an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, wo er noch heute als Senior tätig ist. Er hat zahlreiche Aufgaben in Akademien und nationalen Kommissionen wahrgenommen, war als Gastprofessor in Wuhan tätig, hat sich um die Gesamtausgaben von Kant und Nietzsche bemüht und ist Karl-Jaspers-Preisträger des Jahres 2022. Er hat zahlreiche Schriften zu Kant und Nietzsche sowie systematische Beiträge zur Ethik, zur politischen Philosophie und zur Theologie veröffentlicht.
