Jahrhundert, wird in den einzelnen Kapiteln des Bandes Lyrische Werke (GLMF III) in chronologischer Ordnung dargestellt. Zugleich werden die bisher nur verstreut oder in Einzeldarstellungen gebotenen Forschungen zu einem Gesamtbild der Einwirkung altokzitanischer und altfranzösischer Lyrik zusammengefasst. Neben der inhaltlichen und formalen Rezeption sind dabei auch die Musik und die meist außer Betracht gelassene Sangspruchdichtung berücksichtigt.
