About this ebook

There’s one guarantee in the business of hunting down killers—there’s always a crack.

Homicide detective Seth Riordan thinks he’s finally found a crack in Bluebeard’s impenetrable skin. All he has to do is keep poking. Prodding. Clawing. He’ll do whatever it takes to get to the truth of who this wife-killer is.

Even if it puts himself at risk.

But Seth isn’t the one whose safety is in jeopardy.

When the killer’s accomplice takes matters into his own hands, Seth’s case pivots in a manner that puts those he cares about most in danger.

The deeper he gets, the bigger the ripples.

If Seth isn’t careful, he’s going to lose the scent of a killer who’s more than capable of getting away with murder. And if more blood is spilled, it will be on Seth’s hands.

Seth uncovers the answer to one angle on what’s been going on. But in doing so, he’s opened up Pandora’s box with new questions. In the meantime, all his personal relationships are scrutinized, by himself and others. Can Seth unearth the identity of the killer before he strikes again, or is it already too late? At this point in the series, I have all kinds of pet theories, but each new clue makes me question them. I don’t know where this will eventually lead us, but I’m desperate to know

Oh, what a book....I am enjoying how well Seth is now working with Lani. Now the case is now heating up, with Seth getting closer to the insurance person who is involved. However, that is when the important insurance lead....then ends up with Seth witnessing the man taking his own life, not what he wanted to happen. Everything now seems to be spiralling out of control, and during that time, he is realising that Lani may mean more to him than he thought....

The killer's connection to the insurance company is gone. He committed suicide because he felt guilty and could not deal with it any longer. Seth feels he is getting closer to finding the killer.
