About the author

Professor Walter Leal Filho (BSc, PhD, DSc, DPhil, DTech, DL, DLitt, FSB, FLS, FRGS) holds the Chairs of Climate Change Management at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany), and Environment and Technology at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). He directs the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR) and the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme, the largest network of universities specifically focusing on research on matters related to sustainable develpment. Professor Walter Leal Filho has over 30 years of experience on sustainable development research and in excess of 700 publications to his credit.


Prof. Maria Alzira Pimenta Dinis (Habilitation, PhD, MSc) is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University Fernando Pessoa, Porto, Portugal. Graduation in Metallurgical Engineering (1992) and Master in Materials Engineering (1995) at the Faculty of Engineering,University of Porto, Portugal. PhD in Earth Sciences (2010) and Habilitation in Ecology and Environmental Health (2023) at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University Fernando Pessoa, Portugal. Researcher at UFP Energy, Environment and Health Research Unit (FP-ENAS) and Fernando Pessoa Research, Innovation and Development Institute (FP-I3ID). Sustainability expertise. MSc and PhD supervisor. Experienced author, editor, and reviewer.


Prof. Sara Moggi (PhD, MSc, Post Doc) is Associate Professor at the Department of Management, University of Verona, Verona, Italy. Her research is focused on sustainability measurement and reporting. The mainstream of research is concentrating on sustainability reporting for stakeholders, considering these subjects as pivotal in order to evaluate and shape the sustainable strategies of the firms in terms of social, economic, and environmental performance. Her work has been published in numerous outstanding internationaljournals.


Prof. Elizabeth Price is Professor of Environmental Education and serves as Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor Sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is Associate Head of School of the European School of Sustainability Science and Research, Chair of the Community for Environmental Disciplines in Higher Education, Council Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences, and a member of the QAA and Advance HE Advisory Group that reviewed the Education for Sustainable Development Guidance for the UK. She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Leadership Foundation, and a Chartered Environmentalist.


Dr. Alex Hope (BSc MA PhD FHEA CMgr MCMI CMBE) is Deputy Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor and Associate Professor of Business Ethics at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University. He is responsible for the strategic leadership of education in the Faculty of Business and Law and undertakes teaching, research and consultancy across topics such as responsible business, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), CSR, energy policy and business ethics. Alongside his work at Newcastle Business School, Dr Hope is Co-Chair of the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education (UN PRME) Climate Change and Environment working group and a member UN PRME Board member.
