Ein Blick in die Literatur belehrt einen schnell: Für Handeln und Wissen gilt das sicherlich, aber für Technik wohl kaum. Auf Handlungstheorie kann in keiner Sozialtheorie verzichtet werden. Wissenssoziologie spaltet sich in eine besondere sozialtheoretische Tradition und in das Feld einer Spezialsoziologie auf. Techniksoziologie blieb bisher nur eine Bindestrichsoziologie. Das soll sich ändern. Diese Lücke mangelnden Technikbezugs in der Sozial- und Gesellschaftstheorie zu füllen ist ein Anliegen dieses Buches.
