In the blink of an eye, young Pete has disappeared from a family picnic. Where in the deep woods could Pete have gone? In a humorous tale, Pete’s family searches frantically for him while they encounter various wildlife and dangers along the way. This story has a happy ending, but many real life stories do not. Thousands of children become lost or disappear every year. This book helps educate children on the importance of staying put so that they can be found.

As an environmental educator, Judith has worked with various youth groups and environmental programs to teach youth how to be safe outdoors. She wrote Where is Pete to reach out to more youth and their parents. Judith lives in the foothills of North Carolina.
