("dem Eisernen") geschickt ausgenutzt und mündet in einen Sieg über das patrizische Bürgertum ein, der durch den Sturz der Roland-Säule als Symbol städtischer Unabhängigkeit besiegelt wird.
About the author
Willibald Alexis (Georg Wilhelm Heinrich Häring) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller, der am 29. Juni 1798 in Breslau geboren wurde und am 16. Dezember 1871 in Arnstadt starb. Alexis gilt als Begründer der realistischen historischen Romane.
