Well known for having scripted the audio drama Doctor Who: Cryptobiosis for Big Finish, Elliot has also worked in the West End, with his contribution to The Definitive Rat Pack being particularly notable. In addition to authoring a number of official Robin of Sherwood continuation novels, he is a long-term columnist for US-based magazine Search.
