 ‘Letter’ was the strongest medium of communication or expression till the burst of social media. Now the story of LETTER might start with ‘Once upon a time…’

Today many of us often rely on social platforms to maintain relationships with people we care about. Getting someone's attention is as simple as clicking away at a keyboard and pressing send. Social platforms are the quick and accessible way of staying in touch, especially for people with busy schedules. Writing letters seems rather redundant in the world that we live now. Some of us  may be thinking, "Why should I waste money on stamps and envelopes when I can just tag them in a photo with a heartfelt caption?"

But does it really express the emotions like the handwritten word on the paper ?

No..We don’t want to compare two mediums & get judgmental.. All we want is to relive the era of LETTERS. That’s why our theme for this year Diwali issue (Mehta Marathi Granthjagat Diwali issue 2018) is LETTER/KHAT/PAIGAM. We have inculcated  the literary content based on the letters in our Diwali issue. It includes various literary forms whether it is a poem, story or an article. On the other hand we have picked up the letters from legendary personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Kishor Kumar& Smita Patil which will put focus on contemporary life style too.
