Those whose hearts have darkened will be proud of their accomplishment. They will take pride in erasing one more “terrorist” off the face of the Earth. “She was a traitor!” they will say.
No matter what they say, what they don't yet realize is that their conscience will never be convinced that they did something good.
No matter how hard they scrub, my blood will not wash off their hands.
