The Greeks developed this knowledge, some of their first systematic treatises of the subject were written around 300 BC in the mathematical school in Alexandria. The knowledge of the geometry was dispersed widely by the end of eighth century.
In the moorish and the Arab world the geometry is very important, it’s has been used in different sciences, cosmology, philosophy, architecture, etc.
