About this ebook

Beware of this Boot Camp… it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

Eleven-year-old Ami raced home from school to the orphanage. Today couldn’t possibly get any better. But then it did.

A mysterious stranger from a charity awaits Ami’s arrival in the matron’s office and invites her to Boot Camp to compete for a place on a mission team. The mission… to provide emergency relief to a storm ravaged ski-town.

Ami’s excited about the opportunity. She knows firsthand the importance of someone reaching out and showing care, having experienced loss herself.

But trouble arises when a mean bully tries to ruin Ami’s chances at Boot Camp. She realises that winning a spot on the team won’t be easy. In order to help the struggling town, Ami must confront her fears head-on.

Yet, just as success seems within reach, Ami stumbles upon a sinister secret concealed within the charity’s walls, shaking her to the core.

Now, Ami has a tough decision to make. Should she quit and keep herself safe or take a risk and go on a dangerous undercover mission?

The ski-town and its residents desperately need her help, and she must choose wisely as people's well-being hangs in the balance.

Prepare for an action-packed middle-grade novel that will keep your 8 to 10-year-old reader captivated, eagerly turning the pages late into the night.

“Tricked” serves as the prequel to “Molly’s Spy Mission,” delving into Ami’s backstory and revealing the intriguing circumstances that led her to assume a role as a villain.

If you enjoyed The Giver by Lois Lowry, you’ll love Ami’s daring adventure in Tricked.

Lovely author ❤️ and splendid book with huge moral values 👌😊. I felt that the spy mission is fabulous as the books I read earlier in this series. I hope this is not the end of the series. I highly recommend children to read this series. But I feel It's brilliant for all ages. Now let's just assure you've read the all books in the series, I mentioned down 📚 : 'MOLLY GREENWOOD ADVENTURES ' (A MUST-READ SERIES)... 1. Molly's sudden problem (prequel) 2. Molly's big decision 3. Molly's maze discover 4. Tricked (prequel)( Have to complete it before reading spy mission for the back story of Ami Sato) 5. Molly's spy mission. If you feel you've missed anything from the above list; then, still you can go through it. I convey my heartful thanks to Mrs. Carmen Allen for the best series❤️. Besides this, I'm awaiting forward to the next book in this gorgeous series 🥰😌. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share my tremendous experience of this series 😊.

Great story! I loved how the back-story for this new character splices nicely with “Molly’s Spy Mission.” Ami faces a series of challenges along the way, but never takes a backward step. And the twist at the end made me want to read more!

About the author

Inspired by a multitude of mystery stories, the young teenage Carmen Allen had a dream of her own - to become a fiction writer for children. Her first attempt at writing, which by the way, included a riveting plot involving a missing banana and stolen diamond, was penned secretly in science class when she should have been listening to her teacher.

Fast forward many years and we see Carmen’s dream come true with the debut of her children’s book, ‘Molly’s Big Decision’. Carmen writes about children of character in a world of wonder.

Downtime for Carmen usually involves reading an action novel that champions a hero performing remarkably brave feats. Carmen also loves to bake, design or chat with a friend over a good cup of coffee. She lives on the East Coast of Australia, with her husband and childhood sweetheart.

Steve Allen was always interested in drawing when he was young, but only began to take it seriously later in life.

As a Dad and now a Granddad, he knows just what makes kids tick. He has often put his illustrations to good use during years of working with kids clubs and youth groups.

Now, when he’s not working at his day job as an office manager, he can be found sketching using the paper and pencils left laying all around the house.

In Tricked, Steve has created our main character Ami, and designed the cover image entirely on his iPad.
