Chilling suspense! The wedding bomb killed so many loved ones. They’re still not married. Combs is in rehab not knowing about September’s new identity as Sorokin Glass, the new leader of Wong Enterprises, the wedding bombers. She and "Uncle" Jack go to her first board meeting with only Shadow to protect her. She doesn’t trust him or her bodyguard and everything starts going downhill immediately. Assassins, kidnappers, bullets, battles – wow! I could not stop reading this page-turning thriller.

If you love thrillers/mysteries where the dog is an active participant, you will love Amy Shojal's books with September and Shadow. They're not really standalone, but you can muddle through. l've read several, and I initially felt I needed to go back and read or reread them but she does a good job of filling in the blanks Shadow is September's partner in the truest sense of the word. They protect each other and look out for each other. One of the things l've liked best about her books is the cha
