Alver Metalli è nato nel 1952 a Riccione e, nonostante il nome faccia pensare a origini nordiche, è romagnolo a tutti gli effetti. Il mestiere di raccontare lo ha portato dapprima a Roma poi in Argentina, quindi in Messico e in Uruguay. Attualmente vive a Buenos Aires.
