This story starts slow, and like the protagonist, feeling a little immature. But it is a Glen Cook story so don't be impatient because like the Swordbearer it gains maturity quickly. You know it is a good story when you hate it coming to an end, leaving you wanting more and more. Now I'm just going to go find a book by Glen Cook I haven't read already. I know when I find it, it will be good!
