I am not a huge sports person, but this book opened my eyes to the excitement of basketball and the richness of Filipino culture. The author's humor in light of his cultural journey made it a fun and heartwarming read!

Rafe Bartholomew's book talks about the people of the Philippines. What makes the Filipinos discerned from everyone else in the world was that they play basketball without wearing shoes. He includes the Filipinos passion for playing basketball in barrios, streets, and watching PBA (Philippine Basketball Association).
