The American-Jewish philosopher Berel Lang has left an indelible impression on an unusually broad range of fields that few scholars can rival. Resisting what Alvin Rosenfeld warned as “the end of the Holocaust”, the essays in this collection signal the Holocaust as an event without closure, of enduring resonance to new generations of scholars of genocide, Jewish studies, and philosophy.

Jacob Golomb is Ahad Ha-am Professor of philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the philosophical editor of the Hebrew University Magnes Press.
Caroline Steinberg Gould is Professor of Philosophy at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, where she established the Classical Studies Program and was instrumental in founding the Jewish Studies Program.
Jacob Golomb is Ahad Ha-am Professor of philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the philosophical editor of the Hebrew University Magnes Press.
