Die Betrachtung der Rolle der Natur in “Brokeback Mountain“ verdient meiner Meinung nach große Aufmerksamkeit, weil in der ersten halben Stunde des Filmes Naturszenen im Vordergrund stehen, diese Natur eine Vorraussetzung für die Entwicklung der Beziehung zwischen Jack und Ennis darzustellen scheint und Jack und Ennis die Naturkulisse des Brokeback Mountain als Symbol für Freiheit ansehen.
