About the author

Maria Athanasiou, choir singer, artist, and author, was born in Greece and graduated from Veloudakis Fashion Institute in Athens. She lived in New York and worked as a dressmaker. She was blessed with the idea to make children’s books with her icon paintings and phrases from the Holy Bible, which tells the story of Jesus. Maria is now devoted to create keepsake Christian picture books. She was blessed with three wonderful children and their beautiful spouses and ten adorable grandchildren. She is a member of Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, Blue Point, New York. Maria says, “I am so happy to contribute my God-given talents to help others learn. The books I write are ‘show and tell,’ an easy way to teach and help a child learn. This is what I was looking for my grandchildren, and now I wish to offer it to other children as well for His glory.” www.artplusinspiration.com www.mariabooks.com
