About this ebook

Karen Hill, author of Cat Tails, delivers another whimsical story to little ones learning to read. Her ability to draw children into her stories is demonstrated once again in her latest book, My Peekaboo Moon. Karen brings her own childhood experience to life of riding in the family car and watching the moon seemingly follow them wherever they went. The story comes alive with the illustrations of Virginia Beach artist Deborah Wong, who incorporates hidden elements in each picture for little readers to find.

About the author

Karen Hill’s love of children and storytelling allows her to see the world through the eyes of a child. As a navy wife, she took everyday adventures and made them seem magical to her sons. Her desire is to ignite a child’s imagination and discover the world around them. Karen reads her stories in schools, libraries, community centers, and other venues all across the country. Her fifty year journey from a childhood dream of becoming a writer inspires future authors to begin their own stories. She teaches them the value of never giving up on your dreams. Through her presentations, Karen interacts with children and encourages them to identify their strengths and pursue their dreams, no matter how long it takes.

Deborah Wong’s vivid illustrations pique a child’s interest and encourages them to look further to find hidden gems. Deborah’s artistry is also drawn from her travels around the globe as a navy wife. With duty stations in Japan, Iceland, Scotland, and trekking all over Europe, she brings a depth to each picture that can be felt as well as seen.
