The book focuses on Bash who was forced to live a pirate's life when his father took him away and Maggie who becomes a stowaway on his ship when she decides that running away is better than having another failed marriage to a man she didn't like. The book has a good flow and brings out the emotions of both the characters as well as the past trauma that they have faced, and how they work on themselves while falling for each other. I particularly liked how Bash was so protective of Maggie throughout the book. This was my first book featuring pirates and it certainly gave me a fairytale feeling. I received an advance copy of the book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Pirates, treasure, stowaway, kestrel, what more can you ask for!! Maggie: a young widow who runs away to escape another marriage. A little of the naive side but very loving Bash: oh this pirate, I want for myself. He's such a gentle pirate for someone who has been through so much abuse Villians: Bashs' dad. Quite crazy. Story: was very well written. The focus is on the build up of the romance. Both characters go through an awakening with their awareness and love for each other. I loved how they talked, how they loved, how they were empathetic towards each other and others around each other. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Such an incredible connection between Maggie and Dash! Loved the characters including some wild secondary characters. And, Dash is a dream come true with strength and gentleness despite a hideous situation. The vivid descriptions transport the reader to being in the story. The story has some great twists and a lovely surprise!
