Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (Alcalá de Henares, 1547-Madrid, 1616). Autor clásico y universal. Su figura y su obra literaria desbordaron, desde muy temprano, su origen hispano y su castellano natural para traspasar fronteras geográficas, culturales y lingüísticas, convirtiéndose en patrimonio de la humanidad. Escribió poesía, teatro y narrativa, género en el que destacón con 'El Quijote', tenida como la mejor novela mundial de todos los tiempos por muchos escritores internacionales.
