Ole Lund Kirkegaard (1940-1979) var folkeskolelærer inden han besluttede sig for at blive forfatter og illustrator på fuld tid.Ole Lund Kirkegaard debuterede i 1967 med LILLE VIRGIL og i sin korte karriere nåede han at udgive yderligere 12 bøger som han selv illustrerede heriblandt GUMMI-TARZAN, HODJA FRA PJORT, ORLA FRØSNAPPER og OTTO ER ET NÆSEHORN.I dag står Ole Lund Kirkegaards værker tilbage som udødelige klassikere alle børn bør kende.
