About this ebook

European countries are currently involved in several irregular migration systems, resulting in undocumented populations estimated to be in the millions. Without a certified identity, these immigrants live and work—and challenge previously existing notions of political statehood and society membership. An intelligent, poignant analysis of these systems' effects on individual immigrant populations, as well as the nations in which they reside, Foggy Social Structures provides a historical and comparative account of irregular migration and its relationship to European labor markets.
