About this ebook

Teens get drawn into deadly games by ghosts from their pasts in books three and four of the Dark Secrets series—now together in one paperback bind-up.

Secrets taken to the grave don’t always stay buried.

In No Time to Die, the drama is deadly. Jenny is going undercover for the summer at the theater camp where her sister, Liza, was murdered just a year earlier. Though Jenny is still grieving the loss of her sister and feels completely out of place on stage, she is determined to discover why Liza was murdered—and more importantly, who killed her. Soon she thinks she hears Liza speaking to her, and suspects someone may be following her. If she doesn’t find out the truth soon, she may become the next victim.

In The Deep End of Fear, Kate has tried to bury the horrible memories associated with the Westbrook estate. After her best friend Ashley drowned on the estate, Kate vowed never to return. But now, twelve years later, she is drawn back towards the house and that fatal icy pond. There, Kate still feels Ashley’s presence and the past seems to be pulling her back towards Ashley’s life-threatening dares.

This was actually quite a good book. The first portion was very exciting to me. The murder mystery plus some romance, but I was more attracted to the problem and solution. When Jenny finally discovered the culprit, I was shocked. I thought for sure It'd have been the camp director. But all in all, it was a good read. I found the second portion the best of the series. I am, however, part English, so I found myself heavily immersed in Kate's thoughts and actions. Though the main culprit caught me by surprise, I'd been expecting it the whole time deep down. I found the romance part lessened, but to me, that made for a more interesting story. The book series all together was amazing. I liked them quite a lot. Although I do wish Mary Claire had sectioned the portions more thoroughly. But no matter; I loved it regardless.

Seventeen-year-old Lauren Brandt, daughter of a prominent Maryland senator, has returned to the small town where she was born - and where, ten years ago, her disturbed mother drowned under mysterious circumstances. But Wisteria is not the same as it was during Lauren's childhood. Aunt Jule, Lauren's godmother, refuses to get help for her increasingly mentally unstable daughter Nora, and she leaves all responsibilities for paying the bills to her other daughter, Holly. Nora seems convinced that the ghost of Lauren's mother haunts the house and its grounds - and a series of unexplainable events soon makes Lauren wonder if Nora, however disturbed she is, may be right. And soon, Lauren begins to believe that her mother's death was anything but an accident - and that she herself may be next to die. This was a suspenseful mystery full of unexpected twists and turns. You have to read the book to figure out what the Deep End of Fear is about.
