Fire and Blood: The inspiration for HBO’s House of the Dragon (A Song of Ice and Fire)

A great addition to the world building of Westeros and House Targaryen. This does read as more of a history book, but the book description states as much so I had no issue with the way it was written. If this is a put off, take that as a warning. (I am also disappointed that George has not finished Winds of Winter yet and that at this point we will never get A Dream of Summer but I can't take it out on a decently written history of my favourite fictional family line)

Book is recycled from other books he has written with no new material and stops halfway through. Waste of money fast loosing respect for this amazing author

With Game of Thrones UNFINISHED George is making the most of it's mad popularity to stay IMPORTANT and milk the demand... and ride the wave by putting out all kinds of offshoots and merch books. I didn't mind at first, after all he's been writing all his life and FINALLY he's cracked it...late in life too..so enjoy it, right? But George, c'mon dude! He's hijacked the GOTs SPOTLIGHT and holds it hostage by witholding the last book and instead spends all his time on writing anything BUT the book we all want him to write. Instead he goes on writer's junkets and tours around milking every bit of it. Now I suspect he's afraid of delivering the final in case it's the end of all the FAME.
