Ralphael Shaw
There is something we call empiricism in history. This book is so eurocentric and biased there's no wonder it's free. This guy failed to address the various crusader states, the relationship between crusaders and Mongols and failed to acknowledge that the various Muslim empires were largely successful against Christian armies until WW1 and the loss of the Ottoman Empire.

A very awful book that doesn't mention the actual brutality of the crusaders, which was smth the author was trying so hard to "debunk" Not only is it Islamophobic but completely ignores almost all important events that happened, you didn't mention how the crusaders' brutality massacred the citizens of Jerusalem both Christian, Jew, and muslim. You didn't mention how they brutally cannibalised the people of Ma'arra how they themselves were planning to betray one another. Ac completely hypothetical and bias book, 0/5 would not recommend for someone who's intrested in accurate history. Now I'm not even sure to read the other books he wrote considering I was planning to read them all.

I couldn't get pass the Introduction. Right from the start you can sense this book was written with personal biases. It immediately addresses disdain remarks towards Islam while drawing irellevant referencs about Karl Marx, and Joseph Smith, to try and further his personal view about Islam.
