I was prepared for an emotional and heartwarming tale. The book has likeable characters, & I loved the setting. I wanted to move into Carson’s writing retreat (cozy cabin, porch, books galore, woods, and handsome neighbor whose dog stops by often). I found the DNA storyline to be a letdown. The ending to this particular thread felt like the author reached her maximum number of pages, so she had to resolve it immediately. Little was said about the manuscript. Feel good ending, but epilogue needed

RaeAnne Thayne writes another 5* story bringing families together in a heartfelt story. Intriguing and heartwarming. There is lots of romance in a small town atmosphere. Will love interests become strong enough to last? Secrets to be uncovered where the missing manuscript will reveal. But first they have to discover the manuscript or if there really is one. Likable characters. Thank you NetGalley and the publishers in letting me read this book and allowing me to leave an honest review.

So sad to reach the end! This book was an extremely emotional read. I love a book that makes me feel so much. I felt like the characters were real people, people I wanted to reach out and hug, especially Juniper. Oh, and Hank, what a sweetheart! This is a book not to be missed.
