I thought I was supposed to be reading a book about Jean Harlow, not the plots for all the movies she was in. Started out fine then before I knew it, I'm reading the whole storyline. Characters and all. I stopped reading and actually counted how many pages the author spent on the who-dunnit death of Paul Bern...... 15! 15 pages. RIDICULOUS I wanted to read about Harlow, not how gay Gable was or the plots of her movies, I've seen her movies!!! If you want to read about everyone but her this is for you.

The title contradicts author's opinion. Way too much info re films; more interesting would have been why Harlow allowed her mother's dominance, ultimately causing her death.
