With the 2025 F1 season starting in about 2 weeks, this was the right book to refine my existing knowledge of the sport. Those like me who love audiobooks too, I strongly recommend you to listen to the book as it is read by the author himself. Will Buxton is a legend in the F1 paddock and his narrative makes his book captivating. I could listen him for hours without getting bored a bit. I really liked how the chapters are divided into clear sections. Focusing on each decade, the outstanding teams, the outstanding drivers, the best of rest and picking one memorable race for each decade. Of course you can argue the storytelling picks sometimes. I found myself several times saying out loud "aah you didn't tell it all!" or "oh c'mon really?" All in all, I had a fun time reading this book and I am just saddened he left F1 to focus on Indycar for the next season(s).
