The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby is an educational novel by Charles Dickens. After the death of his father, Nicholas Nickleby, with the help of his rich uncle Ralph Nickleby, gets into a boarding school Dotheboys Hall Academy in Yorkshire. Here Nicholas discovers that the school reminds more of a prison: children starve and go through cruel punishments. Nicholas gets to know a strange boy by the name of Smike whose secret of birth is one of the main topics of the novel. Smike and our hero leave the school. After a lot of adventures, Nick meets nice businessmen, Cheeryble brothers, who help him find his way in the life...

One of the best books I’ve read in the mythology genre. It’s epic, emotional, and deeply immersive. The story honors tradition while creating something entirely new. Pure brilliance!
