Effie Darlene Barba is a very sincere, sensitive, vibrant woman who is quick to tell you about all the valleys that she has journeyed in this life; but does so with a spark of hope and joy as she tells you that it is God's love that leads her every step of the way. She has spent most of her life searching out the truths of the Bible. She is willing to tackle the tough questions that most tend to cast aside; and, for that reason has expanded her study through the Koran, the works of several atheists, new age, and J. Krishnamurti. Always, if asked, she will quickly tell you that the final truth comes from the Bible and with a sadness she will explain how all these others are vainly searching for what can only be found in the Scriptures. Her love of God and her joy in Him ultimately shines through no matter what is the circumstances in her life. She has 3 children, 2 step sons, and 2 grandchildren with a third on the way. She will be the first to tell you that life can be tough and that there are moments when she has to withdraw into the quietness of her home where she can be alone with God for a few hours or maybe a full day in order to go out and continue her greatest hearts desire and that is to proclaim the love of Christ to the world by example, word, and praise. She will quickly say, "One day I will look like Christ; maybe, not today--but that is God's promise and I will look like Him when God has finished His work in me. I will one day shine forth His love, His hope, His peace, His joy and His glory and to that end I will serve Him through whatever battleground He chooses to send me."
