About this ebook

“I used to be a lesbian.”

In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

At age nineteen, Jackie came face-to-face with what it meant to be made new. And not in a church, or through contact with Christians. God broke in and turned her heart toward Him right in her own bedroom in light of His gospel.

Read in order to understand. Read in order to hope. Or read in order, like Jackie, to be made new.

Re: @ Grace It can be the person who is an idol. The church needs deliverance from their flesh. Everyone thinks they know the answers when it's God that has all the answers. People can seriously do damage to other's when a person should seek God not other's advice. People are just dull of understanding. That's what jesus said most of the time. Jesus was single most people forget and because he was God people neglected to see that he had overcome the world. If God in the flesh as Jesus Christ could do that then it is a testimony to his work. But people fail to see that because they are in their flesh not the spirit. No i didn't read this book but what does it matter. The bible is the only book to read. The bible is all i need. Most books just give people opinions or experiences thats it.

This book is nothing more than thought control aka part of the bite modle showing how clearly Christianity is a cult. Love is Love and this book is going to reinforce selfhatered of LGBTQ+ youth, you monsters have blood of children on your hands. She mentions how she still "struggles with same sex attraction" proving sexuality isn't a choice. Think about this if god knew people would turn out to be gay why would he create them? Just to condem them to hell? Doesn't sound like an "all good" or "merciful" god to me.

Do not read if you are trying to figure out who you are. Never forget there is a community that will accept you, and you are not alone in your journey. This won't help you feel accepted. Find a better book. It'll all be ok, I love you, bye!
