The Sweetest Seduction

So many things I liked about THE SWEETEST SEDUCTION by Crista McHugh. The meddling mothers, the sibling reading and loyalty, I'd easy relationship with her co-workers, but most of all the head-over-heels love that almost instantly ignited between Lia and Adam and takes them both by surprise. This is a sweet love story about two people too busy living their lived to even date, but their Mom's are tired of waiting for grandbabies and take matters into their own hands. What follows is a few misunderstandings, humor, and steamy, heated can't keep my hands off you scenes. All in all a fun read. I definitely want to see what Mrs. Kelly has planned for her other sons! 4.5 stars I listened to the audiobook version and have to say the narration was excellent. One of the best I've heard. Therese Plummer has an amazing range of "voices". Each character had a clearly defined personality, cadence, accent and tone. She took a good book and made it great.

Disclaimer: this was poorly converted to epub so the formatting is off and I had to scroll and zoom a lot. After the first chapter, I downloaded it from Amazon (also free). This always irks me because I hate the Kindle app. A great romantic story following two believable characters. Both are strong-willed workaholics and neither is made to bend to the other's will to achieve love as so often happens in romance novels. I really loved everything about this story. I only gave it four stars because it really could have used another go at the editor. Every chapter has several mistakes, mostly word omissions, that had me caught off guard and stumbling over sentences and, therefore, taking me out of the story temporarily. It was otherwise well-written. Even with the missing words I knew what was meant to have been said. Sentence structure was solid, the author knows how to write, she just got caught up in the story and forgot some minor words, as did her editor. All in all, I will continue on to the next book.

Lia and Adam are both workaholics and neither have time for a relationship. thinking one night of sex will be enough they both have the best sex of their lives. Now they have to decide how to proceed.
