An Ill Wind by Christine Pope is another great story in the Witches of Canyon Road series! This one is special because we are introduced to a new character and find new strengths in someone who always acted the playboy. Tony Castillo Is on his way to the airport to pick up Cassandra Sandoval of the de la Paz clan. She is going to pick up all of the black magic books Tony’s mother has been hiding and take them back to her clan. Only nothing ever goes as smoothly as the witches would want. Someone has stollen the books and knocked out Tony’s mother! After she is seen to, Tony and Cassandra take up the hunt. Tony can’t go to his prima because she is on bed rest due to her pregnancy. And Cassandra is pretty sure her prima will say “No!” So the two decide it is better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission and set off on a multi-clan, multi-country adventure to figure out who took the books. This book was unique because Tony and Cassandra flew all over the place, going into other clans’ territories and other countries without asking permission and without telling anyone what they were doing! Go team! I throughly enjoyed this book and hope that you do too!

Another wonderful read from Christine Pope in the Witches of Canyon Road series. As with the other books in the series, this can be read as a stand alone as she explains the basics of the other books in the new book. This time we learned more about Tony Castillo, who happens to be Rafe’s cousin. Finally we deal more with the books that have haunted the Castillo clan since the first book in this series. We follow Tony and Cassandra Sandoval, of the de la Paz clan, as they reclaim the stolen books. The pair must work together in search of the books and as they get to know one another they begin to fall for each other. A great read that was enjoyable, Tony was one of those characters that I enjoyed in the other books. I found this book to be wonderful, so I highly recommend. I did receive an ARC.

Christine Pope is one "Adventurous" Lady. Her writing style, and imagination can keep me busy for hours. Things are really getting interesting now in Book 6 “An Ill Wind” of The Witches of Canyon Road series. I must say this is an amazing continuation of what happened to the dangerous stolen de la Paz Grimoires. Packed with twists, magic, and steamy romance this book definitely delivers. With the only clue being a slimy residue reeking of Escobar magic it takes Tony Castillo and Cassandra Sandoval across several Witches Clan’s territories. They travel to find the Escobar warlock and get the dangerous books out of the wrong hands. The characters develop throughout as you see them getting romantically closer. I totally recommend this book and series but you must read the previous books in order to understand the full concept of the stories.
