"O Sobretudo" (em russo: Шинель, translit. Shinel; às vezes traduzido como "O Manto") é um conto do autor russo nascido na Ucrânia Nikolai Gogol, publicado em 1842. A história e seu autor tiveram grande influência na literatura russa, como expresso em uma citação sobre escritores realistas russos de Eugène-Melchior de Vogüé (muitas vezes atribuído erroneamente a Fyodor Dostoyevsky): "Todos nós saímos do 'sobretudo' de Gogol". Em 1941, Vladimir Nabokov chamou-o de "O maior conto russo já escrito"

Nikolai Gogol foi um romancista, contista e dramaturgo russo de origem ucraniana. Um dos primeiros a utilizar as técnicas do surrealismo e do grotesco em suas obras. Muitos escritores e críticos reconheceram a enorme influência de Gogol na literatura russa e mundial. A influência de Gogol foi reconhecida por Mikhail Bulgakov, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin, Flannery O'Connor, Franz Kafka e outros.
