*Quick Getaway* I absolutely adore how the relationship between Elena Dorsey and Aidyn Dunbar grows over a period of time with secreted notes and gifts. There's a definite Romeo & Juliet vibe with the forbiddenness of it all. I love the excitement as well as the overwhelming feelings portrayed as Elena discovers modern day conveniences from seat belts to tissues to running water items (sinks, showers, toilets and washing machine) to clothing to wrapped foods and more. It's all new, and the expressed awe is perfect. I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Rose Dioro and Troy Duran. I've listened to them dozens of times and really like both narrators, but I wish this were duet narration. Story: 4.5 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.5x

3.5* Sean and Gloria This is a second chance/rockstar romance. I liked a majority of the story. The couple broke up after college to do their own things. Many years later Gloria is interviewing a rockstar and it happens to be Sean and he finds out she had his daughter. I wasn't a big fan of one minute they are mad, then the next they are forgiving and it goes back and forth for a while and in some parts I think to me the daughter was a bit childish and she is a grown adult.

Aidyn and Elena will touch your hearts and have you in their corner. She plays a vital role in the BRR because she and her mother are the only two who know how to prepare the elixir that brings in income for them. When Craig takes over as leader, he begins to pressure Elena to marry or have a child in order to keep the group going and to have someone she can train to make the elixir after her. Aidyn is drawn to Elena who is a young innocent woman who doesn't know anything about the modern world

Focusing primarily on romantic suspense, she weaves a little bit of reality with a little bit of make-believe to create stories with heat, heart and all the feels. PJ lives in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area but travels to destinations unknown via motorcycle.
